About Desert Rooted

Desert Rooted is a symbolic Joshua tree naming registry inspired by the real places, long lives, and singular silhouettes of the Mojave.

Each certificate records a name within one of four mapped groves in or around Joshua Tree National Park, paired with original desert artwork by Seth Wheeler. It is a commemorative keepsake—not ownership, a legal designation, or a physical marker.

The work grows from the same desert-art world behind #sethwheelerart: real landscapes, made with care, for people marking something meaningful.
